The country’s loudest festival returns to shake the foundations of 2025, louder, heavier, and more unrelenting than ever.

South Africa’s loudest tradition is back, RAMFest is locked and loaded for 2025. After rattling bones in 2023 with international juggernauts like Enter Shikari and The Ocean Collective, the country’s most notorious alternative festival is gearing up for another round of chaos, sweat, and distortion.

A Legacy Forged

Since 2007, RAMFest has been the unshakable pulse of South Africa’s alternative rock scene. It kicked off in the Western Cape thanks to founder Dawid Fourie and quickly spread like wildfire across Cape Town, Joburg, Durban, and PE. Over the years, it’s pulled in a roster of international acts like In Flames, Bring Me the Horizon, Biffy Clyro and kept local fires burning with acts like Fokofpolisiekar and The Narrow.

What to expect in 2025

No official lineup has dropped yet, but the organisers have confirmed that the Cape Town & Pretoria lineup will be dropping on 27. The bar was set high in 2023, and you can bet 2025 won’t ease off the throttle. If the last edition was any sign, expect a crushing blend of global icons and homegrown insurgents. RAMFest has always been about more than music, it’s a full-blown rebellion, a stage for bands who push boundaries and fans who live loud.

RAMFest will also be teaming up with Halloween. This collaboration marks the first time RAMFest will partner with Halloween PTA, bringing a unique fusion of alternative music and Halloween-themed excitement to South Africa.
