In a seismic announcement that’s rocking the heavy metal world, Black Sabbath has confirmed a one-night-only final reunion show titled “Back to the Beginning,” taking place on July 5, 2025, at Villa Park in Birmingham, England—the birthplace of heavy metal and the band itself.
This special concert is being billed as Ozzy Osbourne’s final performance with Black Sabbath, and it will feature a truly unforgettable moment in rock history: the original lineup—Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward—reunited on stage for the first time in 20 years.
Sharing the stage with Sabbath will be fellow metal titans Metallica and Slayer, both of whom will perform full sets during the event. Adding another layer of excitement, Ozzy Osbourne will also deliver a solo set, making this an extraordinary multi-era celebration of his career.
“This isn’t just a concert—it’s the end of an era,” said an official statement from the band’s management. “We’re going back to where it all started. One last time. One last roar.”
With all these legendary acts on one stage, this night promises to be one of the most significant live music events in decades.
Beyond the music, Back to the Beginning is a benefit event. All proceeds will be donated to Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorns Children’s Hospice, uniting the power of rock with a purpose to heal and help.
Tickets officially went on sale in February and tyhe demand was astronomical, as fans around the world clamored for what would be their final chance to see Black Sabbath perform live, together, on their home turf.
With Ozzy’s health making global headlines and each member in their 70s, this concert is shaping up to be a final farewell to the band that gave the world heavy metal.
