Emotions run high as the Disturbed front man makes a surprise on-stage proposal during the band’s 25th anniversary tour stop in Sacramento.

Disturbed’s May 9th show at Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center took an emotional turn when front man David Draiman popped the question to his girlfriend mid-performance.
Just before launching into the band’s hit “The Light,” Draiman called Sarah Uli on stage and delivered a heartfelt speech, thanking her for bringing happiness back into his life. Then, in front of a packed crowd, he dropped to one knee and asked her to marry him. Uli gave an enthusiastic nod, sealing the moment to loud cheers from fans. Draiman confirmed the answer with a smile, saying, “In case you didn’t hear, she said yes!”
Draiman and Uli went public with their relationship in early 2024, not long after the singer finalised his divorce from Lena Draiman, his wife of 11 years. Based in Miami like Draiman, Uli has a background in sales and marketing, having worked with major tech brands including JBL and Samsung.
Following his divorce, Draiman had briefly dipped his toes into online dating, but described apps like Tinder as a “mess,” plagued with bots and fake profiles. He eventually met Uli on Bumble, and the connection turned into something real.
The proposal came during Disturbed’s ongoing tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of their debut album The Sickness, a fitting backdrop for a night full of nostalgia, energy, and now, love.
